We stumbled upon this blog post today, and it reminded us that even though we love our kids……sometimes we need some “you time” away from them. These are great ways to stay active while with your significant other or (if you don’t mind them tagging along) to bring the kids along to.

If your kids are anything like ours, the struggle to get them to brush their teeth (for real!) can be frustrating. We like to make things a little more traceable for our parents by giving their children Brushing Charts. We ask our little ones to color in the time of day boxes they brushed their teeth during and practice writing their letters by putting a “F” or “M” on the time they also flossed or used mouthwash. When they have all their boxes colored they can ask mom or dad (that’s when you get involved guys!) to let them drop it off to claim a prize!
This is the chart we use for our kiddos. Feel free to download it and use it for your own! (Just don’t forget the prize! It can be a great motivational tool for some kids.)
What do you use to teach your kids good dental or overall health? We want to know!
Also, follow our twitter @ecnmydentistry for more tips and dental advice!
We’ve had these ladies in the office for a over a year and still need to name them! We want your help! What do you think we should name our gals? If your name is chosen, we’ll give you a FREE exam and x-ray at your next cleaning! (This is a $80+ value.)
(We also dolled them up for Valentine’s Day. What do you think?)
Today is our one-year anniversary!
Economy Dentistry is so excited to be celebrating the end to our first year in business. We’ve really loved working on all the young’uns that shared their pearly whites with us.
In planning our one-year, and looking back at all the things parents and patients have told us, we decided it was time to go social and start this blog. We believe that good oral health starts at home, and stems from all aspects of life. We’re dedicated to sharing that life with you. We’re mothers and fathers too….we just happen to know a little more about oral health then the average Joe.
So follow us on Pinterest (another website we’re addicted to..), Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus to share in our journey. It no longer takes a village to raise a child, it takes about a million bloggers, some at-home diagnostic scares with WebMD, Google, your doctors, dentists and everyone in between.
